Make a referral
Referrals are received from GP Surgeries. The Service provides counselling for adults over 18.
The process
The Bereavement Counselling Service works with clients suffering chronic, inhibited or complicated grief or unexpected loss syndrome, prolonged grief and associated problems. The service does not normally accept clients who are expected to follow a ‘normal’ if distressing bereavement journey. These clients would be referred on to Cruse Bereavement Plymouth or to local bereavement support groups.
Each client needs to make an appointment with their GP to make a referral to submit the completed form to bcs.referrals@nhs.net.
If you are seeking support for people under 18, you may wish to contact other organisations, such as Jeremiah's Journey.
